The atypical career of a Monegasque composer, between music, cars and... Abbey Road!
We remember that in December 1959, at the age of twelve, for his last Christmas with the young Monegasques at the palace, Prince Rainier and Princess Grace had offered him a... Guitar!
After " Abbey Road Sixties " (CCAM 1983), " Monte-Carlo Années Sixties " (Sporting 1999), " Sixties'n Jazz " (Sporting 2004), " Live In Monaco " (Prince Albert II's birthday in 2005), " 64 Richard Lord and Friends " (Sporting 2009) or " 69 " Woodstock/Abbey Road (Sporting 2016), he will celebrate this time his " 75 " with the release of his autobiographical book Richard Cavassuto raconte RICHARD LORD.
It will not be at the Sporting, but in the hall of the Opera Garnier in Monte Carlo. It will not really be a concert, but the projection of photos and unpublished videos on his musical life from 1947 to today, interspersed with live performances with Richard (folk guitar and vocals) and his faithful friend Giovanni Mirabassi on piano.
It will necessarily pass by the time of the "Sixties" with its various groups: The Red Devils, The Vampires, The Yankees, The Shadows, without forgetting The Outlaws. Richard will leave them at the end of 1970 after a last contract in Dubai (Emirates). It will lead him from Monte Carlo to Maranello, but also to London where he has just celebrated "50 years with Abbey Road Studios". It is indeed on October 4, 1971 with the precious support of his Sovereign, Prince Rainier III, that he will go for the first time in these mythical studios, to record four titles of his composition.
From then on, with his "Rallye Monte-Carlo", this musical route will lead him to the automobile world that he particularly likes, rather than to the traditional show business. This will not prevent him from producing, releasing numerous records and obtaining excellent results, notably with Renault, Peugeot, until "Maranello" that he will sing in the fief of Ferrari for their unavoidable "Notte Rossa" 2022.
There will also be "Jacques and Gabriella" that he will sing in the courtyard of the palace in May 2015, during the christening of the royal twins.
An original idea for the book "75": Until September 10, the date of its official release, any purchase of the book will give the right to a free seat at the Opéra Garnier to attend the anniversary party, with dedication of the book by the author (284 pages).
