Anoushka has a lot to live up to, yet she has quickly made a name for herself. Daughter of Ravi Shankar, she learned the sitar and Indian classical music with her father. From her childhood in London to her studies in California, Anoushka, who "grew up on three continents with one foot in the past and one in the present", has nurtured an openness to all kinds of contemporary music - pop, rock, blues, soul, country, folk... This insatiable appetite makes her compositions universal, and has opened the doors to collaborations as diverse as they are dazzling, from Nina Simone to Sting, via Madonna, Elton John and Peter Gabriel. For her new tour, she returns surrounded by a quintet for an inventive formula that once again revitalizes her repertoire.
